Dominic set her down and kissed her so gently her heart swelled to squeeze the air from her lungs. He pulled back a fraction and braced his forehead against hers. “I love you, Madeline.”
He cradled her face, brushing her tears away with his thumbs. “I hope you know what you’re getting into. Royal weddings are extravagant affairs.”
Madeline laughed. She never thought she’d be grateful for those six wasted years. “I have a little wedding planning experience. As long as I have you, I can handle it.”
